I know that the technical side is not that amazing, but I think it took a good amount of time to draw, isn't it?

Sorry for the Lines in Your combined posting. This is a global setting in this forum. But I can disable the combining of posts. I'll check this later.

I wasn't keeping track, but yes: I'm still unemployed, and have far too much time on my hands.

Don't change it just for me.

By the way, I updated the image with a larger, cleaner one (another thirty mintues' work). :-)

Woah, now it's big enough for print.

How about a nice, scalable vector version?

Even better! (if not best)

But first the thing has to come to an end.
I will continue the project tomorrow.
In a few days there will be more parts.

It's nearly unbeliveable. Tonight I returned to the MRC project.

I got my crawler from the top shelf and took a closer look to the unfinished model which was designed and built from 2006 to 2008.
It was stored now for three years unprotected in a mostly unused room. Not in direct sunlight but not in darkness, too.
The epson ink I used for the prints haven't faded at all. Besides a bit of dust the model is in perfect condition.

I also found the original 170 g inkjet paper I used for the prints and reprinted two pages (01-27 + 01-28) of the pilot section's roof which I want to remake because I did it with closed balustrade. The colour and everything is exactly as it should be and there is no reason to hold me back from restarting. So it is absolutely official: I restart designing the rest of the model - NOW!

Be part of it! Smile

If You are interested in a big and impressive SF vehicle model of moderate complexity, this is Your chance of extreme fun.
Everyone taking part receives the freshly designed sheets for free in sporadic time spans. So You can build the model with me and the others very slowly without investing to much time per month.
If You haven't got the existing sheets yet, please write me a e-mail or a personal message, to get yourself onto the mailing list and within a few days I'll send You the existing pdf-data.
The sheets can be printed both onto A4 and US letter format paper.

Redesigned the pilot section's roof and working on the parts.
On sunday evening or monday there will be new pictures.

In the meantime I would be happy if both of you, Mike and Felix, could spread the news about the MRC in other model forums. It would be good to have a couple of SF fans, which participate in the project with ideas, comments, testbuilds ... or just interest.

Markus, I posted an invitation to Papermodels, but I really don't participate in any other forum but this one.
