Those garage sales are a nice thing. That's not popular in Germany.
Is there some advertising when doing such a garage sale (e.g. on the black board of the local super market)? Or flyers or such things?
Or do You do it just blindly hoping people see it and come?
And I'm so glad Your wife didn't sell the MRC.

Facebook and Craigslist is all the advertising we did, plus a couple of signs put up around the area. One friend drove about an hour to join us with stuff of her own to sell, and a few more stopped in to buy and visit. Much of what we were selling was kitchen and decorative pieces that belonged to my grandmother who died several years ago and was taking up space in our garage (many people here don't park their cars in garages, but use them for storage instead <G>).
And no, she didn't sell the MRC: it isn't finished yet. :-)

No progress to report; the search for employment has taken top priority, and very little else is being accomplished. I have a strong prospect for which I was interviewed on Thursday, but won't know until after next week whether I will be hired, so the search continues.

No progress to report on MRC/2 but I do have some good news: I'm once again gainfully employed!
The job prospect from my last posts never materialized, nor did several other since, but an interview on October 18 resulted in my starting work October 19, and I'm now 1/3 through my probation period, with every indication that I will be made a permanent employee. :-)
Now I'm in the process of slowly catching up with all the bills and obligations that had to be ignored for so long ...
